These terms are a plain-language template for using OKOP and this website. They are provided for transparency and are not legal advice.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing or playing OKOP (“the Game”), or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game or the site.
2. The Game
OKOP is a real-time multiplayer top-down shooter operated by the OKOP team. The Game is free to play while in development and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features, content and availability may change, and the Game may be updated, suspended or discontinued at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to play. By using the Game you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
4. Fair play & acceptable use
To keep matches fair for everyone, you agree not to:
- use cheats, bots, exploits, or any software that modifies or automates gameplay;
- interfere with, overload or attempt to disrupt the game servers or other players;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, or use hateful or unlawful nicknames or content;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, resell or commercially exploit the Game except as permitted by law.
We may restrict or terminate access for conduct that breaks these rules.
5. Nicknames & in-game identity
You are responsible for the nickname you choose. Nicknames that are offensive, impersonate others or infringe rights may be changed or removed.
6. Intellectual property
The Game, including its code, art, sound, name and branding, is owned by the OKOP team and protected by applicable laws. These terms do not grant you any ownership rights; you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to play the Game.
7. Disclaimers
The Game is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Online multiplayer depends on your network and devices we do not control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the OKOP team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Game or website.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Game at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the service and its players.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the Game evolves. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
